Warsaw Palace of Culture and Science

We start our tour in the heart of Warsaw at the Palace of Culture and Science. The Palace was a gift from the Soviet Union to the people of Poland and was intended to symbolize Polish-Soviet friendship. Construction began in 1952 and was completed in 1955.

The building rises over 230 meters, contains 40 million bricks, and has 30 stories. Until 1990, it carried the name of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. Today, it remains one of Warsaw’s most recognizable landmarks.

Visitors can access a viewing terrace on the 30th floor, offering panoramic views of the city stretching up to 30 kilometers in all directions. The building also houses theaters, cinemas, museums, and various cultural institutions.
